After-School Enrichment

Program Overview

The Experience

Our After-School Enrichment Program combines academic support with meaningful, hands-on activities that keep students motivated and connected to learning. Each afternoon includes homework help, small-group tutoring, enrichment labs, and a healthy snack—all in a safe, nurturing environment staffed by caring adults. The program strengthens academic readiness, reduces absenteeism, and gives students a positive place to grow after school.

Program Structure

Our after-school program follows a consistent, structured routine designed to support both academic growth and creative exploration. Each day begins with a healthy snack and a community check-in before students transition into homework help. After academic time, students experience enrichment activities—such as arts, literacy, and social-emotional activities—that are hands-on and culturally relevant.

What’s Included

The program includes daily homework assistance, targeted small-group tutoring, and hands-on enrichment activities in literacy, arts, and social-emotional learning. Students receive a healthy snack each afternoon to ensure they are ready to focus and fully participate. All materials—books, manipulatives, technology, and creative supplies—are provided to support meaningful learning experiences. Families also benefit from ongoing communication, community events, and access to additional resources when needed.

Session Lengths

Our after-school enrichment sessions run Monday through Friday and typically last 2 to 2.5 hours each day, depending on the partner site. Students are grouped by age to ensure activities are developmentally appropriate and engaging. Each day includes structured time for snacks, academic support, and enrichment activities that change daily to keep learning fresh and exciting. Program cycles operate in 6–9 week units, giving students time to build skills, complete projects, and experience consistent growth.

Enrichment Age Groups

Programs are designed for students 6 to 16 years old, with age groups divided into grades kinder-second, third to sixth, sixth to eighth, and ninth to eleventh. This ensures that instruction, activities, and community are tailored to each developmental stage.
